Monday, May 19
2:30 PM  Meet at Hotel Tivoli in Venice and go to Serenissima (serene city); Vaporetto ride to visit Piazza San Marco, the campanile, Venini and Olivetti buildings, Istituto Universitario di Architettura.

Welcome dinner

Tuesday, May 20
Day tour: Basilica of San Marco, courtyard of Palazzo Ducale, Venini art glass gallery, Basilica dei Frari and Ca’ d’Oro; walk through Cannaregio. Optional visit to Scuola San Rocco (Tintoretto artworks). Evening concert at Ca’ Rezzonico.

Wednesday, May 21
Day tour: San Giorgio Maggiore, Il Redentore, Molino Stucky Hilton, Punta della Dogana Museum, La Salute, Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Afternoon talk with Vincenzo Casali, architect at Palazzo Grimani, and tour modern insertions in historic structures such as the Querini Stampalia, Ruzzini Palace Hotel and the Charming House at Campo Santa Maria Formosa.

Thursday, May 22
Morning train to Florence
Afternoon: Florence orientation meeting; walk by the Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens and Ponte Vecchio to Piazzale Michelangelo. Return by way of the Uffizi Gallery courtyard.

Friday, May 23
Meet in class at Eurocentres to discuss projects. Full-day tour to sketch sites, including the Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, Battistero, Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, Palazzo Guadagni Courtyard at Santo Spirito.

Saturday, May 24
Morning: Cappelle Medicee, sketch at cloister of San Lorenzo
Afternoon independent visit to Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens and Uffizi Gallery.

Sunday, May 25

Monday, May 26
Morning: Meet at Eurocentres for concept presentations
Afternoon visit to Continentale Hotel, Gallery Hotel Art, J.K. Place, L’Orologio Hotel, Grand Hotel Minerva, as well as a stop by Santa Maria Novella and the Michelucci train station.
Optional visit: Grand Hotel Villa Medici, Hotel Londra, Grand Hotel Baglioni

Tuesday, May 27
Morning visit: Walk to Accademia, San Marco, Foundling Hospital
Afternoon: Class discussion, project critiques and studio time

Wednesday, May 28
Morning visit: Santa Croce Church, Pazzi Chapel and Santa Croce Gallery and Cloister.
Afternoon: Class discussion, project critiques and studio time
Evening: Optional concert performance at St. Mark’s Church

Thursday, May 29
Morning visit: Palazzo Davanzati and the Bargello. Independent visits to Palazzo Strozzi, Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, Palazzo Rucellai
Afternoon: Project critiques and studio time
Evening: Visit to Palazzo Strozzi or Tethys Gallery
