An afternoon visit of L’Orangerie, which was specially remodeled to host Monet’s water lilies; discover a private collection that includes Cézanne, Renoir, Van Gogh and more.
Tuesday, March 6th
A day in Montmartre: the amazing hilltop village with a breathtaking panorama of Paris. This is where Van Gogh started painting as well as where Picasso first lived and worked. We will visit the Montmartre museum and see the Bateau Lavoir and enjoy the atmosphere of this special neighborhood.
Wednesday, March 7th
Day Trip: Chatou and Croissy-sur-Seine are easily reachable with the suburban train (RER), both located on the meandering banks of the Seine River and very close to Bougival. We will follow two trails specially designed to bring us to different locations painted by famous artists.
Thursday, March 8th
We will stay in Paris today and explore Musée Marmottan, dedicated to Monet, but that also includes many other painters and hosts interesting temporary exhibitions. In the afternoon, the Musée du Petit Palais will open up new perspectives.

Day Trip: On the train, we take off to Auvers-sur-Oise. Pissaro and Cezanne loved to stay in this town, where they were hosted and encouraged by Docteur Gachet… the same who helped Vincent Van Gogh when he came back from 2 ½ years in Provence. This is also where Van Gogh lived the last few weeks of his short life and died. We will visit the Inn where he stayed as well as see the church and cemetery where he was buried.
Saturday, March 10th
On this day, participants will be free to visit, explore and discover on their own. We will wrap up our time together at our farewell dinner, which will take us to a charming bistro in the heart of the Left Bank.
