SVA @ Cannes Film Festival
May 12 - 21
Course number IPD 3224-A
FACULTY: SAL PETROSINO
This unique program offers students a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Cannes, France, located on the French Rivera during the renowned Cannes Film Festival. The Cannes Film Festival is one of the premier film festivals in the world held annually in Cannes, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world.
The program offers students daily access to screenings of selected films in the festival and immerses them in a cinematic world that will turn any novice or would be filmmaker into an instant Cinephile! After a screening, we will meet as a group to discuss the film, explore its theme, question the actor’s performances and be joined by a filmmaker who will present their perspective and expertise.
The journey begins Saturday May 12th and concludes on Monday, May 21st. We will travel together as a group, and in addition to daily screenings, will visit galleries and selected museums of interest.
Tuition for the program is $3,500.00 and includes: Round trip air-fare, double-occupancy hotel accommodations, daily continental breakfast, transportation to all museums, access to screenings, gallery visits, welcome and farewell dinners.
Note: Applicants are required to interview with the director of Film Operations prior to registering. Coordinator: Sal Petrosino [email protected]
